Interesting news regarding Obama’s upcoming ad. What’s great about it is that it seems to me that a half hour is actually long enough for a candidate to convey important information about where they/their campaign stands on certain issues. Considering the fact that the public, in theory if not in practice, owns the airwaves, it is seemingly possible to have similar “infomercials” at no cost to the candidates. Just think, equal airtime for each of the two parties’ candidates where they actually have to tell you what they are all about or else risk you changing the channel. Alas, I guess that is the purpose of these one minute segments now being used to mudsling out of desperation by certain candidates…
